Figueroa Wins Rossler
Top Street; Kniess Nabs 3rd Street Stick Title

Figueroa has been a steady top-half Top Street qualifier in his 5.0
Mustang, but Wednesday night, he took his first Rossler Transmissions Top
Street victory during the weekly Summit Street Wars event. Figueroa
advanced from the fourth qualifier position to defeat surprise number
eight qualifier, Rob Pachner, in his turbo '83 Dodge Shelby Charger.
Pachner held the bump spot at a 12.53, while the top qualifier for the
second time was Phil Plotz, at a 10.36. Other winners included now
three-time winner Brian Kniess (Street Stick), defending Junior Dragster
Track Champion Corey Griffith (Street Auto), Doug Osberg (Sport Compact),
Roy Safreed (Street Bike), and Larry Lesick (Modified).

Nino Figueroa was all smiles after his
Rossler Top Street victory

Figueroa (far lane), had a close race with the turbo front-drive '83
Shelby Charger of Rob Pachner.

Doug Osberg (Right Lane) drove his Grand Am around John Rudolph's ACR Neon
in the Victory Performance Sport Compact final.

Brian Kniess (Far Lane) collected his third Street Stick trophy, this time
taking out Josh McDonald.

Corey Griffith (Far Lane), Jr. Dragster Track Champ, will win in anything
with wheels. He trimmed Ed Miley to .001 in the Street Automatic
final.

Tim Evans (far lane) kept his final round streak alive, but fell to Roy
Safreed in the Vanson Leathers Street Bike final.

Larry Lesick (far lane) picked up the Modified win when Mark Franko
red-lighted.

Chad Johnsons' 427 powered Cobra qualified 3rd in Rossler Top Street,
running into the 11's.

Street Bikes are discovering that QCR is the place to race Wednesday
nights!
