Figueroa Wins Rossler Top Street; Kniess Nabs 3rd Street Stick Title
Nino Figueroa has been a steady top-half Top Street qualifier in his 5.0 Mustang, but Wednesday night, he took his first Rossler Transmissions Top Street victory during the weekly Summit Street Wars event.  Figueroa advanced from the fourth qualifier position to defeat surprise number eight qualifier, Rob Pachner, in his turbo '83 Dodge Shelby Charger.  Pachner held the bump spot at a 12.53, while the top qualifier for the second time was Phil Plotz, at a 10.36.  Other winners included now three-time winner Brian Kniess (Street Stick), defending Junior Dragster Track Champion Corey Griffith (Street Auto), Doug Osberg (Sport Compact), Roy Safreed (Street Bike), and Larry Lesick (Modified).
