100 MPH Club Standings
Summit
Street Wars are always full of surprises. There's great
accomplishments like 2nd-time winners Andrew Green (Victory Sport Compact)
and Tim Evans (Vanson Street Bike), or the footbrake win by Marc Carpenter
in Modified, let alone the efforts by first time winners William Purnell
(Street Stick), and Mark Thomas (Street Auto)... but John Rodriguez takes
all the glory by slipping his Victory Performance-prepped Plymouth Laser
into the #8 qualifying position in Rossler Top Street, and then going to
the winner's circle. John Herman of the Hollywood Knights was the top
qualifier with a 10.127 @ 132.36 mph in his '76 Skylark 540.

Top Street with his Victory Performance-backed Laser RS.
Andy Green (near lane) took his 2nd win, defeating last week's Victory
Performance Sport Compact winner, Kevin Bloom.
William Purnell drove his Mustang (far lane) to the win over Tim Singer's
S-10 in Street Stick.
Mark Thomas wheeled his Nova (near lane) to the win in Street Automatic
over Bryan Miklich.
Marc Carpenter made it two in a row for the Footbrake guys with his
Lightning (near lane), defeating the Chevy II of Tom Rossi in Modified.
Jason Mounton qualified #3 in Rossler Top Street with his 4-speed Fairlane!
Michael Garvey anchors the QCR 100 MPH Club at 100.00 MPH even, with his
nitrous-assisted VW Bug.
Richard Dustman broke into the Rossler Top Street field in the last
qualifying session, running a 12.16 with his '99 Viper.
